VP of Facilities Expansion, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $200,000/year USD
- Orchestrating architects, contractors, and legal partners to obtain all necessary construction and operational permits.
- Managing municipal permitting and inspection workflows across multiple jurisdictions — reducing timelines and removing obstacles.
- Assembling and filing complete approval packages: permits, regulatory submissions, applications, and inspection records.
- Tracking project progress and compliance exposure across the portfolio — ensuring full transparency and no unexpected delays.
- Spending approximately 75% of your time traveling to project sites to engage directly with local officials, inspectors, and service providers.
- Delegating accountability or waiting for others to surface issues — you'll own delivery from start to finish.
- Operating remotely from a desk — this is a field-intensive, execution-focused position.
- Applying a one-size-fits-all approach — you'll design custom solutions tailored to each jurisdiction.
- Treating delays as unavoidable — both speed and accuracy define this role.
- Depending on outdated systems or manual spreadsheets — continuous automation and improvement are expected.
- Located in the United States with full authorization to work without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Available and prepared to travel approximately 75% of the time to cities and states across the U.S.
- At least 5 years leading permitting, construction, or facilities expansion initiatives involving physical infrastructure and regulatory compliance.
- At least 5 years coordinating multiple contractors per project across different jurisdictions.
- Documented history of delivering projects early or on time while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
- Experience delivering progress briefings to technical teams and executive leadership.
- Clear demonstration of end-to-end ownership — you served as the sole accountable party for project outcomes.
- AI-fluent mindset — you default to automation and rapid iteration to accelerate delivery.
- Written communication that is precise, actionable, and reliable for senior leadership.
- Strong regulatory instincts — you understand when to escalate, when to clarify, and when to challenge.
- Experience in construction management, education operations, or multi-location retail rollouts.
- Track record building or refining AI-powered tools for permitting, compliance, or regulatory processes.
- Direct experience working with fire marshals, building inspectors, and education licensing authorities.
