Job Title: Foundry Melt Supervisor
Job DescriptionJoin a company with a rich heritage in manufacturing high-quality railroad industry products. As a Melt Supervisor, you will lead a team in crafting innovative solutions with a focus on continual improvement and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintain furnaces.
- Order necessary melt materials.
- Train employees on correct melt procedures.
- Develop and implement melt procedures.
- Manage continual improvement initiatives.
- Oversee pouring operations.
- Maintain the department with a 5S philosophy.
- Cross-train employees for operational flexibility.
- Reduce or eliminate melt-related scrap.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
- Be knowledgeable of the company's ISO program.
- Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Five years of melting experience.
- Experience in foundry, molding, and supervision.
- Ability to follow strict safety programs.
- Attentive to detail and ability to communicate in a team setting.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent (optional).
- Prior forklift experience is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Tolerance to extreme temperatures.
- Capability to stand for long durations.
- Adaptability and good attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
