Job Title: Foundry Melt Supervisor

Job Description

Join a company with a rich heritage in manufacturing high-quality railroad industry products. As a Melt Supervisor, you will lead a team in crafting innovative solutions with a focus on continual improvement and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain furnaces.
• Order necessary melt materials.
• Train employees on correct melt procedures.
• Develop and implement melt procedures.
• Manage continual improvement initiatives.
• Oversee pouring operations.
• Maintain the department with a 5S philosophy.
• Cross-train employees for operational flexibility.
• Reduce or eliminate melt-related scrap.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner.
• Be knowledgeable of the company's ISO program.
• Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Five years of melting experience.
• Experience in foundry, molding, and supervision.
• Ability to follow strict safety programs.
• Attentive to detail and ability to communicate in a team setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent (optional).
• Prior forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Tolerance to extreme temperatures.
• Capability to stand for long durations.
• Adaptability and good attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
