About the Job:

Wallace Metal Products , a well-established & growing metals service center based in Pittsburgh, PA, has a great opportunity for an outside salesperson to support our Western PA territory. We are a supportive, team-focused organization where open communication, respect, and camaraderie are paramount. This position involves daily territory building via customer & prospect visits; 75% Hunter, 25% Farmer. Compensation is a combination of base salary + Commission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop a profitable territory of new accounts through extensive relationship-based customer contact, via cold calling/visits, referrals from existing customers, industry guides, trade shows, and quotation follow-up.
• Foster and grow existing accounts to assess further potential, via visits & quotation follow-up.
• Daily travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Completion of daily call reports and expense reports.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Has a proven track record of relationship-based sales, territory building, and strategic prospecting.
• Is driven, focused, and adaptable.
• Has a minimum of 3+ years of outside sales in the metals distribution or manufacturing industry.
• College degree preferred, but not required.
• Clean driving record.

Compensation:

• Base salary is based on industry experience. Commission starts after a specified profitability level is met.
