SUMMARY DESCRIPTION AND SKILLS:

The Production Supervisor manages the processes and people associated with the manufacturing and delivery of product, meeting all quality and delivery requirements. Areas of responsibility would include continuous improvement in all supervised areas--quality, service, costs, safety. Provide accountability and review on the manufacturing activities and ensure that work conforms to all standards, codes, regulations and other requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for Quality, Delivery, Cost, Safety and Employee engagement for the production floor onsite.

-Ensure adequate safety and environmental programs are in place to protect workers and minimize company liability.

-Drive performance to key metrics to ensure performance to customers and financial objectives.

-Track internal and external orders throughout the production process to ensure compliance to quality requirements and shipment due dates.

-Proactively implement improvements necessary to address issues.

-Drive Lean implementation on the production floor.

-Function as a member of the management team and ability to develop relationships within the team.

-Work closely with other members of production team in the identification and development of people, products, services, and/or systems.

-Champion the quality and continuous improvement efforts of the company.

-Drive programs to continually reduce production cycle times and maximize equipment and employee utilization.

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.

-3-5 years of manufacturing supervision, production control, manufacturing engineering, injection molding management experience. Prior dental lab experience ideal.

-Strong leadership and team management skills required.

-Good organizational skills with ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency.

-Strong project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and comprehensive computer knowledge.

-Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and TQM tool/techniques preferred.

-Read, write and verbally communicate in English. Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.

-Proficiency in using the personal computer, including Windows-based applications & Microsoft Office Suite Applications.

-Experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar inventory control system a plus.
