Administrative Assistant/Accounting
JOB DESCRIPTION: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/ACCOUTING
Reports to: Vice President Finance
Direct Reports: N/A
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Performs general accounting, secretarial, and customer service duties necessary to meet customer, financial, and operational departmental needs. Essential Functions
- Perform aspects of the accounts payable (A/P) process.
- Perform aspects of the accounts receivable (A/R) process after the generation of an invoice.
- Perform aspects of A/R, A/P, and petty cash banking.
- Complete various daily/monthly/annual reports related to accounting.
- Provide administrative and clerical support, including but not limited to filing documents, answering telephone calls, opening the mail, and distributing faxes.
- Communicate with coworkers, management, customers, and others courteously and professionally.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Controller.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High standards of accuracy and precision; detail-oriented, extremely organized, and resourceful
- General filing and secretarial skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Experience with Syteline is a plus; but not required
- High School Diploma with 1-3 years of experience as a clerk or secretary, preferably in an accounting department
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This entails the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend and stand as necessary. Other Duties:
