LOCAL Product Designer (Philly)

Job Description

In this role, the UX Designer will focus on end to end product design work, collaborating closely with stakeholders to shape user flows and create prototypes that support strategic decision making. Their day to day will include conducting stakeholder interviews, facilitating workshops, and gathering input from users, customers, and internal teams. They will translate these insights into visual concepts and interactive prototypes-primarily using Figma or AI assisted storyboarding tools-to help clarify direction and propose value driven product improvements. They'll partner with strategy and data teams to incorporate research, run desk research using AI, and refine concepts through iterative feedback. Given that product design cycles typically span 8-10 weeks, the designer will manage ideation, prototyping, recommendations, and presentation of solutions to senior stakeholders, while navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across cross functional groups. Monthly in office workshop sessions will support collaboration and deeper exploration of complex product challenges.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience as a UX or Product Designer with a portfolio that clearly explains process, thinking, and approach-not just visuals.

Strong product-design focus: ideation from scratch, facilitating workshops, gathering user/market/customer input, and creating prototypes that guide stakeholder decisions.

High curiosity and comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to explore criteria, uncover insights, and shape direction.

Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including leading interviews, collaborating with strategy/data teams, and conducting user research (interviews, surveys, desk research).

Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with AI-assisted design/storyboarding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code), with experience managing 8-10-week design cycles.
