Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Social Studies/Science Long Term Substitute Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons in social studies and science, support student learning, and maintain a positive classroom environment. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for social studies and science subjects
• Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that foster student engagement and curiosity
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a safe and respectful learning environment
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs, including those with special education requirements or autism spectrum disorders
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance instructional practices and school initiatives
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, Science, or a related field; valid teaching certification preferred
• Proven experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues
• Experience working with children of various ages, including preschool or early childhood education background is a plus
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom strategies for working with students with special needs or autism spectrum disorder
• Demonstrated ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and promote literacy and numeracy skills
