The C. Harper Buick/GMC of Connellsville, part of the growing C. Harper Auto Group, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Counter-person to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong automotive parts experience and a passion for delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

As a Parts Counter-person, you will be responsible for sourcing, supplying, and tracking automotive parts and accessories for a wide range of vehicles to support the efficiency and success of our Service and Collision departments.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the parts sales process from initial request to final delivery
Accurately identify and source parts using manufacturer catalogs and online systems
Provide professional, timely, and courteous service to customers, technicians, and service advisors
Respond promptly to incoming phone calls and emails with pricing, availability, and product information
Process and track parts orders, including special and emergency orders when necessary
Verify parts on collision and service estimates for accuracy and pricing consistency
Pull and stage parts for service repairs, and ensure parts are billed correctly to repair orders
Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy and availability
Receive and stock incoming parts shipments in an organized and efficient manner
Notify Parts Manager of critical back orders or parts requiring urgent attention
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety and company policies
Receive retail payments and/or obtain appropriate credit authorizations
Collaborate with other departments to maintain workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous automotive parts counter experience preferred
Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and service processes
Proficient with parts catalog software and dealership DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, estimates, and technical documents
Competence in basic math, including percentages, discounts, and markups
Ability to lift and move moderately heavy parts (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
