Physician Hospitalist (Jersey Shore)

Job Summary: Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Internal Medicine physician for the Department of Hospital Medicine in Jersey Shore, PA.

Job Duties:

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 7am - 7pm
• ICU: Open
• Procedures: Not Required

Geisinger Jersey Shore is a designated Level IV trauma center with 25 accredited beds and a helipad for transporting critically injured patients to higher-level facilities. As a hospitalist, you'll have access to advanced medical technology and resources, with opportunities for research, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Position Details:

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
• Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnoses and designs treatment plans for injuries and/or illnesses. May prescribe or administer medications.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews medical records, including histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and outcomes.

Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. The role requires compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Additional department-specific competencies will be considered essential for performance.

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Experience: Relevant clinical experience preferred

Licensing: Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
