JOB DESCRIPTION:

Owns and delivers multiple features of high-complexity and/or scope. Can work in areas of the codebase outside of own core competency with minimal guidance. Acts as an effective technical mentor for one or more junior developers. Identifies other development teams that will be affected by their work and proactively works to align goals. Can effectively identify and communicate project scope, complexity, and expectations across functions (e.g. Product, Design, Documentation). Plans projects that best use team resources available while delivering a product that meets AVEVA Operations Information R&D standards. Can adapt to moving product and business requirements. Considers both technical and business needs when planning development work. Proactively provides confident technical guidance across team. Understands security development lifecycle posture and promotes awareness on their team. Takes an active role in recruiting new team members and new developers in general. Is responsible for a team's continuous improvement of SDL practices. Is considered an authority within the company and is sought out for guidance in these areas. Identifies areas for improvement at program or team level in technical systems or processes and drives resolutions in collaboration with teammates. Leads a few, medium scale, medium impact initiatives with independent follow through to resolutions. Broadening abilities beyond team. Participates in Operations Information R&D research projects. Communicates efficiently and effectively within product development. Provides input to Engineering Managers on the technical competence and growth of team members. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering (any), or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Principal Technologist, or in a related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have experience with the following skills: 1. Developing microservices; 2. Deliver products in the cloud; 3. Develop and maintain test suites; 4. Develop Kubernetes based applications; 5. Identify and Communicate project scope, complexity, and expectations across functions.

RATE OF PAY: *$153,358 - $236,900 * per year
