Business relationship manager
The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and collaborative leader, bridging the gap between Saint-Gobain Technology Services NA (SGTS) and the business unit(s) they support. This role focuses on fostering strong relationships, building trust, and empowering business partners to leverage IT solutions effectively to achieve their strategic objectives.
The BRM works closely with business leaders to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, aligning IT services and solutions to drive measurable value, operational efficiency, and innovation. Acting as a key advocate for IT within the business, the BRM champions digital transformation initiatives, supports demand management, and ensures seamless execution of IT projects and programs. By promoting collaboration and delivering impactful IT strategies, the BRM enables the business to succeed in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

As a Business Relationship Manager, you'll serve as the bridge between IT and the business-building trust, driving collaboration, and ensuring technology enables measurable results. You'll partner with leaders to align IT services with business goals, champion digital transformation, and turn strategic vision into execution.
Business Partnership & Relationship Management

Build strong, trusted partnerships with business leaders to understand goals and align IT priorities.

Foster collaboration and trust between IT and the business to ensure shared accountability for results.

Advocate for IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and best practices across assigned business units.

Equip leaders with the insight and tools to leverage IT solutions effectively and make informed decisions.

Actively lead change management efforts to drive adoption and minimize disruption during IT rollouts.
Strategy & Roadmap Development

Serve as a strategic advisor to business leadership, shaping long-term IT roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.

Translate business strategies into actionable IT initiatives that deliver value and innovation.

Identify opportunities for digital transformation, including Manufacturing 4.0, IoT, and emerging technologies.

Balance risk and reward when evaluating new technology opportunities or investments.
Demand & Value Management

Assess, prioritize, and coordinate IT demands to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Partner with IT teams to manage portfolios, allocate resources, and ensure visibility of key initiatives.

Track KPIs to measure IT service quality and business satisfaction.

Quantify and communicate the value delivered through IT projects and services.

Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance end-user experience.
Project & Program Leadership

Oversee IT projects from planning to delivery, ensuring timelines, resources, and business outcomes are achieved.

Manage risks and issues proactively to ensure successful execution.

Facilitate collaboration between IT, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.

Communicate progress, challenges, and achievements clearly to leadership and project sponsors.
Required

Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma with 10+ years of relevant IT experience.

Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years leading IT projects or support teams, with a proven record of aligning technology solutions to business needs.

Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.

Languages : Fluent in English; French Canadian fluency (written and verbal) required for Canada-based roles.

Travel : Up to 35% across the U.S. and Canada.
Highly Preferred

Certifications : Business Relationship Management (BRMP, CBRM), IT Service Management (ITIL), or Project and Program Management (PMP, CSM, SAFe).

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees' wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
