Senior Application Developer

Inspiration Global is seeking a Senior / Lead Application Developer to design, develop, and support business-critical applications. This role will play a critical role in developing, maintaining and optimizing internal rating systems (Optum Stepwise®), commissions systems (APM/SAP), and various data integration jobs.

This position focuses on supporting sales, incentives, commissions and underwriting/actuarial in the health plan business domain.

Primary Responsibilities:

Application Development & Maintenance

· Design, build, implement and maintain existing solutions for rating, commissions, and sales.

· Configure business rules, calculations and data integrations processes.

Qualifications :

• Minimum: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training.
• 5+ years of experience as a developer.
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to design, research, configure, build, test, and implement new implementations.
• Understanding DevOps and Agile practices.
• Translate and document business problems and/or user stories to functional applications.
• Good understanding of cloud and other architectural patterns.
• Ensures projects are completed within committed time and budget.
• Create detailed design artifacts and technical documentation.
• Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solution while considering innovation and longer-term outlook.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Maintain code quality standards.
• Works across multiple applications and allocates time appropriately to meet assigned deadlines.
• Understanding of developing and maintaining secure applications.
• Works independently without supervision with latitude for independent judgement, Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
