Empower students with visual impairments and make a meaningful difference as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired working throughout York County. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential educational services across Southern, South Eastern, and Dallastown districts during the 2025–2026 academic year.

As an itinerant professional, you'll travel between K-12 schools, collaborating with district staff to maximize student success. You'll play a key role in adapting learning materials, supporting accessibility, and helping learners gain confidence and independence.

Qualifications:

• Fully licensed to teach in Pennsylvania
• Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional strategies
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to manage a travel-based assignment across multiple locations
• Commitment to empowering students of all abilities

Responsibilities:

• Serve K-12 students with visual impairments across York County schools
• Adapt curriculum materials and provide individualized instruction to meet diverse needs
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Offer support, training, and guidance to staff and families
• Maintain documentation and monitor student progress
