Located in Fishtown, Philadelphia, Wm. Mulherin’s Sons is an urban Italian restaurant and hotel thoughtfully converted from a former 19th century whiskey blending and bottling factory.

Mulherin’s features rustic Italian, wood-fired cuisine that emphasizes the smokiness and char of the wood burning oven & grill. We serve a casual, yet sophisticated & seasonally driven menu in a hip and nostalgic environment.

The beverage menu features quality-driven cocktails along with a curated list of well-crafted beer and approachable wines from the Old and New World, carefully selected to complement the style of cuisine.

Host Job Responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:

• Strong, upbeat and positive personality
• Warmly greet all guests as they walk in the door and thank them and wish them well as they leave
• Upon arriving, the host should look through the day’s reservations and acknowledge / react to any special notes, ironing out plans to accommodate guest needs/celebrations
• The ability to communicate with management and Chefs
• Maintain proper phone etiquette, following established protocols
• Keep an organized host stand, clean and tidy as necessary
• Commitment to high standards with impeccable attention to detail
• Passion for food, beverage and hospitality
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast paced environment
• Team oriented mentality
• Dependability

Working Conditions/Environment

• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
• Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
• The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 30 pounds.
