Beverage Manager
Ember & Ash is a live-fire restaurant in South Philadelphia known for thoughtful food, creative cocktails, and genuine hospitality. We are seeking a Beverage Manager to oversee our beverage program while working behind the bar as the primary bartender Wednesday through Sunday.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who loves both hospitality and beverage development. You’ll be the face of the bar, build relationships with guests, create seasonal cocktails, and help shape the beverage experience.
What You’ll Do
- Bartend service and interact with guests
- Develop and execute seasonal cocktail menus
- Manage liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage inventory
- Handle beverage ordering, receiving, pricing, and cost controls
- Maintain bar organization, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Train and support additional bar staff as needed
- Collaborate with ownership and the culinary team on pairings, events, and special menus
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws and safety standards
Who You Are
- Experienced bartender with a strong foundation in classic and contemporary cocktails
- Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable taking ownership
- Passionate about hospitality and guest experience
- Strong communicator who works well within a small, collaborative team
- Interested in creativity, seasonality, and building a beverage program that complements the food
