Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a Production Planning Supervisor which will support our Manufacturing operations in New Holland, Pennsylvania. This position is 100% on site in our manufacturing plant.
Key Responsibilities
- This individual will lead a team of ~7-10 people (both hourly & salary), ensuring proper analysis and execution of MRP system and related metrics.
- Support plant in transition of MRP system from JD Edwards to SAP. This will include serving as a subject matter expert, training team members, etc.
- Lead and support the team to effectively deliver metrics such as OK OFF LINE, Inventory Value, On Time Delivery, Aged Work Orders, Backlog and others.
- Ensure the team is applying information system tools and effectively communicating shop floor status to schedule and coordination of part requirements from internal work centers, sister plants, internal logistics, suppliers and subcontract suppliers.
- Develop and implement contingency plans when vital and keep management advised of actions being taken along with risks and constraints.
- Maintain and revise MRP planning based on changes coming from both dependent and independent demands, as well as from inventory adjustments and Bills of Material corrections.
- Train team to ensure they are analyzing and correcting discrepancies, production reporting or inventory problems to maintain parts flow and improve inventory accuracy.
- Understand and have working knowledge of operational processes, planning procedures and plant layout.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering or other technical or business subject area
- Minimum 5 years of logistics/planning &/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience is strongly preferred
- APICS certification
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of the organization, as well as both internal and external customers
- Microsoft Office Proficiency- Intermediate Excel user or above
- Proven problem-solving skills
Pay Transparency
The annual salary for this role is USD $84,375.00 - $112,500.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
