JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES LANE ORGINATES PIT TO ORD

Nightly departure from Pittsburgh 2200/hr on Monday / Wednesday / Friday. scheduled arrival time @ Chicago Intl Airport 0600/hr next day.
• Minimum 10 hours off ~ Come back on duty, make airline/company pick-ups around Chicago airport and drive back to Pittsburgh .
• Primarily No Touch freight, driver will observe the loading and unloading of the trailer
• Equipment: Sleeper cabs, Drivers are assigned a truck, Automatic, Freightliner & International. Penske leased/maintained fleet.
• Fuel card, EZ-pass and Samsara cab camera and electronic logging device system
• Safely operate a 53-foot dry van tractor-trailer truck
• Properly track and document activity log
• Must have Haz-Mat endorsement
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect truck before and after trip
• Home throughout the week

COMPENSATION/PAY:

• Departure from Pittsburgh to Chicago and return to Pittsburgh round trip miles 952. Lane rate compensation: $ 620.00. includes up to 5 stops Any additional stops paid @ $25.00 per stop
• On occasion, there may be a stop @ our Cleveland office to drop off or pick up additional freight.
• Schedule every other week.
• Week (1) 3 round trips Monday, Wednesday & Friday
• Week (2) 2 round trips Tuesday & Thursday
• Layover opportunity in Chicago every other weekend. Hotel room & breakfast prepaid plus $200.00 weekend layover compensation Drivers average annual earnings of $ 81,000.00

QUALIFICATIONS:

2 years of commercial driving experience
• 22 years of age
• Maintain a Commercial driver’s license & Medical Card
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic
