Tenure-track Computer Science Position

The Westminster College Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-trackposition in computer science to begin August 2026. We seek a dynamic and innovative teacher-scholar who is committed to excellencein undergraduate education and student-centered learning.

Responsibilities:

Teach three courses per semester (in person)ina broad range of courses in computer science, and will include courses inthe core curriculum and first-year program. Maintain and expand our current offerings in Artificial Intelligence and MachineLearning. Maintain an active program of scholarship that engages undergraduate students. Advise and mentor undergraduatestudents pursuing computer science majors, minors, and interdisciplinary programs. Participate in service to thedepartment, college, and broader academic community.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or Computer

Engineering with specialty in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning by August 2026. Demonstrated commitment toexcellence and inclusivity in undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts setting. Evidence of scholarly potential or productivity, specifically with undergraduate students. Given the current political and fiscal climate, Westminster Collegedoes not sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time.
