The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a vital role in supporting children with autism spectrum disorder by implementing behavior analysis techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position involves working across various settings, including homes, clinics, schools, and community environments. The RBT is responsible for accurate data collection and client support to help promote meaningful behavioral changes. Professional growth is encouraged with ongoing training and certification support.
Responsibilities
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data following established protocols
- Provide direct support and intervention to clients with autism spectrum disorder
- Maintain detailed documentation of client progress and session notes
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by supervising BCBA
- Collaborate with supervisors to adjust interventions based on data analysis
- Work in diverse environments including home, clinic, school, and community settings
Required Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in behavior analysis
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- Proficiency in data recording and analysis
- Experience with behavior intervention techniques
- Strong time management skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
