Summer Woodshop Specialist - Camps Kenwood and Evergreen

Location: Camps Kenwood and Evergreen (K&E) in Wilmot, NH

Dates: June 14 - August 8, 2026

Starting Salary: $3000 + $150 travel allowance

Time Off : 2-3 hours per day and 1 day per week

Perks: We provide housing, meals, and snacks for the whole summer! Laundry is on-site, bathrooms are inside cabins, and our lake is private.

What You’ll Do :

• Take charge of our beloved woodshop !
• Foster creativity and skill development for campers of all ages and experience levels
• Report to the Studio Director , keeping open and consistent communication about program success, equipment maintenance, and supply needs
• Run the woodshop during Studio Time , a twice-daily open period for campers to return to projects, collaborate, or try something new in a freer-form setting
• Help campers discover the joy of making things, develop independence and confidence, and embrace the value of process over perfection
• Design and lead daily camper projects such as birdhouses, ping pong paddles, ukuleles, tambourines, skateboards, bunk signs, and picture frames
• Teach campers how to safely and confidently operate tools, including bandsaws, miter saws, pillar and other drills, thicknessers/planers, routers, jigsaws, sanders, chisels, and woodburners

Bonus : We love getting our staff certified in lifeguarding and high ropes (mostly belaying from the ground). If you’re interested, we can train you at camp for free – you’d just arrive at staff training a few days earlier. Additionally, if you’d rather get lifeguard certified at your local pool, we can cover the cost of the course!

About K&E : We are a traditional, long-session brother-sister overnight camp situated beside the gorgeous Eagle Pond. We’re two hours from Boston, but our campers (ages 7-15) and staff come from all over the world. Campers and staff also embark on trips to local attractions, mountains, and beaches throughout the summer.
