Summary
The Product Engineer will be responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production. The Product Engineer develops dies, manages SolidWorks and MicroStation drawings, handles costs, oversees prototyping and provides vender coordination. Product Engineer may be involved in plant layouts, ensuring bill of materials are correct, reverse engineering, and plotting/printing drawings to give to fabricators/machinists.

Education and Experience
· Engineering degree from an accredited college
· Proven experience in die design and development
· Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
· Working knowledge of safety protocols
· Knowledge of SolidWorks is required
· Strong understanding of cost management principles
· Excellent project management and communication skills
Skills and Abilities
· Deep knowledge of die design, SolidWorks and manufacturing processes
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to analyze designs, costs, and project requirements
· Strong problem-solving skills for addressing technical and logistical challenges
· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
· Ability to create technical documents/blueprints for fabricators and machinists
· Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
· Valid state issued drivers’ license and reliable transportation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Manage all drawings for the Wampum Site (Plant layout, machinery and dies).
· Ensure a timely completion of RFQ's.
· Creating technical drawings for all new die and existing dies/parts.
· Drawing review and accuracy.
· Engineering costs for new die manufacturing.
· Working with purchasing to ensure BOMs are correct and up to date.
· Reverse engineering on existing equipment.
· Plotting and printing of drawings.
· Aid in making production work better.
· Revision control of all documents
· Prototyping support for test fits.
· Vender coordination.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand, walk, use hands to operate computer equipment, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The work environment has temperature extremes and moderate to high noise level. Regional travel may be required occasionally to for test fits at customer sites.
