Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist (AR Specialist)

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000 annual salary

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Overview:

Seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support billing, collections, and project-based receivables within a fast-paced construction/energy services environment. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Finance, and external customers to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process customer invoices based on project milestones, contract terms, and completed work.
• Manage full-cycle AR including cash application, aging maintenance, and collections outreach.
• Review and verify billing details such as change orders, retainage, compliance documents, and job-related backup.
• Partner with Project Managers to reconcile project status, resolve billing discrepancies, and support cash flow requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation for AR activities, including correspondence and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and audit support related to AR.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience in construction, energy efficiency, engineering, or related project-based industries.
• SAP ByDesign experience highly preferred ; strong comfort with ERP systems required.
• Understanding of project accounting, milestone billing, and retainage.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and finance teams.
• High attention to detail, strong follow-up, and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
