CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Scranton, PA 18510 (Northeastern Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Facility Setting: Hospital – CT Scan Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/30/2025)
• Shift: Evening shifts, 10 hours (between 11am–11:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On-call: 2–3 times every 2 weeks (average 4 hours per call)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750 - $2820

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
• Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology and CT
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) processes and safety protocols
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Key Responsibilities for CT Tech Role

• Prepare and position patients for CT and MRI procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Perform neuro, body, and extremity imaging procedures according to radiologist protocols
• Administer IV contrast as directed by a radiologist
• Enter and manage patient data in radiology imaging systems (PACS)
• Identify anatomy on images and ensure optimal image quality
• Conduct equipment quality control tests and report any irregularities
• Order supplies and maintain inventory for the CT scan unit
• Serve as a radiology liaison, supporting physicians and escalating issues as needed
• Set up procedure trays and handle non-controlled medications as required
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
