2nd Shift - Press Helper
As a press helper, you will work alongside the press operator in a printing facility to assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing materials for printing, loading and unloading paper or other substrates, monitoring press operations, performing quality checks, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in the setup of printing presses, including loading paper and adjusting settings according to job specifications.
- Load materials into the press during production runs and remove finished products from the press.
- Monitor press operations to ensure consistent quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during printing.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on printing equipment, such as cleaning rollers and changing ink cartridges.
- Conduct quality checks on printed materials to verify color accuracy, registration, and print quality.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Keep accurate records of production output, material usage, and any maintenance or repair activities.
- Assist in other areas of the printing facility as needed, including packaging finished products and preparing materials for shipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials, up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
- Previous experience in a printing or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.

Work EnvironmentThis role requires working in both office and factory environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods during their shift and handle repetitive tasks. The ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and supplies is essential. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment are required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
