Sr. Python Developer

Client is seeking a Sr. Python Developer that has experience with Django and React. They are ideally seeking someone out of Universities such as Princeton, Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford etc.

You should have experience as a Senior Python Developer proficient in Django, web application architecture, and SQL database design to join our remote team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with excellent leadership abilities, ready to guide junior developers, manage projects, and deliver robust code in an agile setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement new web applications from ideation to launch

• Engage with stakeholders to define and clarify project specifications

• Perform code reviews to maintain high standards and best practices

• Serve as a hiring manager, aiding in team expansion and recruitment

• Coach and support junior developers to enhance their technical skills

• Enhance existing applications with new functionalities

• Optimize and streamline code for efficiency and scalability

• Assist end users, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Extensive expertise in:

  • Python programming

  • Creating and managing RESTful APIs

  • Front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

  • Version control systems like Git or Mercurial

  • Front-end frameworks, including Bootstrap, Vue.js, or jQuery

  • Designing and working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL)

  • Building applications with frameworks like Django or Flask

  • Developing with React

• Enthusiasm for using AI tools like Cursor.ai to streamline development processes

• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills

• Experience thriving in an agile development environment
