Located in York, PA
Salary: $18/hr-$20/hr DOE
Hours : Monday-Thursday 5:30a-3:30p. Potential OT on Friday, 5:30a-10:30a. May have 40-50 hour work weeks.
Job Summary: To finish large automotive fenders and other metal parts by hand or machine
DUTIES
- Preparing parts and performing polishing operations with machine polishers and hand tools on metal fenders.
- Operate sanding and polishing equipment such as hand files, grinders, disks, rotary sanders and abrasive wheels.
- Remove bumps or indentations in the metal parts without stretching or cutting through the finished piece with care to maintain contours, edges and dimensions.
- Locate and gather materials and supplies needed; check material for correctness and quality
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with rolled sheet metal, autobody, and/or foundry experience helpful.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Willing to be a team player and accept other jobs and duties when necessary.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and lift at least 50 pounds.
- Respirator helmet use required.
- This is a Physical job, must wear a respirator, protective clothing, jacket, & gloves are provided by the company, drinks & radios are allowed at your workstation. VERY hot work environment!
Education: High School Diploma or GED
