Electromechanical Medical Device Assembly Technician

Step into a hands-on role where precision meets purpose. From the moment your shift begins at 6:30 a.m., you’ll move from microscope to workbench to automated test station, building and verifying intricate electromechanical medical devices that help clinicians deliver care. By 3:00 p.m., you’ll have transformed components into life-improving products—documented to exacting FDA standards and ready for the next stage of production.

A day in the role

• Start with a quick review of the schedule and material availability; flag any shortages to your supervisor.
• Perform precision assembly, welding, soldering, and molding using microscopes and fine hand tools.
• Inspect parts and finished builds for defects; complete repairs and rework when required.
• Operate automated and specialized test equipment to verify performance and reliability.
• Complete all device history records and quality documentation in compliance with FDA regulations, Good Documentation Practices, and company procedures.
• Apply Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles to keep your workspace organized and processes efficient.
• Model safe work habits and maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies at all times.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

What you bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort with microscopes and precision hand tools; excellent manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
• Familiarity with FDA-regulated manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical production tasks.
• Self-starter who collaborates well in a team setting.

Preferred

• 1+ year of manufacturing or related experience.
• Background in medical device assembly and/or soldering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
