Accounts Payable Specialist

A well-established company is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role offers stability and the chance to take on responsibilities beyond traditional AP tasks. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounts payable experience, is a proactive problem-solver, and can think critically while working independently.

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• 5+ years of corporate AP experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes, financial reporting, and tax obligations
• Proficiency in Excel required; JD Edwards or AP Express is a plus
• A motivated team player willing to learn beyond AP, including AR and bank reconciliations

Accounts Payable Specialist Perks & Benefits:

• Salary: $55-65K depending on experience

Accounts Payable Specialist Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and on time
• Manage AP inbox
• Prepare electronic payments and checks while ensuring policy compliance
• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations
• Track and process sales and use tax payments as needed
• Prepare 1099s
• Cross-train in other areas of accounting
