The Salon Shampooist is crucial for providing a relaxing client experience and supporting the salon team. This role focuses on professional hair washing, keeping the salon clean, and assisting stylists to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Care:
- Perform professional shampooing, conditioning, and thorough rinsing services.
- Provide relaxing scalp massages.
- Ensure client comfort regarding water temperature and pressure.
- Assist stylists by escorting clients to and from the chair.
- Salon Operations & Cleanliness:
- Launder, fold, and manage clean towels and capes.
- Sweep hair, clean styling stations, and sanitize shampoo bowls immediately after use.
- Assist with mixing color and general station setup for stylists.
- Monitor and restock retail and professional products.
- Perform general upkeep to maintain the salon's appearance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Customer Service: Friendly, professional, and client-focused attitude.
- Teamwork: Ability to follow instructions and work quickly in a fast-paced team setting.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive washing tasks.
