What You'll Do:
● Lead Architecture & Development: Architect and build scalable, AI-driven
features for our consumer-facing products, including the evolution of HomeBinder
and the HomeBinder Assistant. You will drive technical decisions that balance
long-term scalability with immediate business value.
● Full-Stack Engineering & Polyglot Mindset: Build robust, real-time systems
using our core stack of Elixir, Phoenix, and PostgreSQL, while leveraging
Low-Code tools (like Retool) for internal apps to keep operations lean. While
prior experience with Elixir is a plus, we value strong architectural fundamentals
over specific syntax. If you have deep experience in frameworks like Rails,
Django, or Laravel and are excited to master functional programming, you will
thrive here.
● Applied AI & Rapid Prototyping: Collaborate with product teams to identify
high-impact AI opportunities. You will prototype MVPs quickly using
GenAI-native tools (e.g., Lovable) and move successful experiments into
production by fine-tuning models for NLP and Computer Vision.
● Data & Modernization: Design efficient data processing pipelines to support AI
initiatives while championing the modernization of our legacy tech. You will ensure our
data quality allows our AI models to perform accurate predictive analytics.
● Mentorship & Collaboration: Act as a force multiplier for the team. You will
mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of technical
excellence and continuous learning.
Who You Are:
A proven engineering leader (5+ years full-stack, 2+ in leadership) who’s shipped
complex products and thrives in growth environments.
● Skilled with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
● Experienced in Git workflows, testing, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred)
● Excellent communicator and systems thinker with strong organizational instincts
Bonus Points:
● Elixir / Phoenix / Ash Framework
● Retool & JavaScript
● Ruby on Rails
● Figma or design system experience
● Proptech or data-heavy product experience
● Open-source contributions
