Vice President / General Manager

$175,000–$225,000 base + bonus
A well-established, growth-oriented industrial solutions business in the Greater Philadelphia area is hiring a Vice President / General Manager to lead overall performance, growth, and execution. This is a sales-first GM role, with direct accountability for revenue growth, customer expansion, and new business development.

This role is built for a leader who can zoom out to drive strategy and growth, while also staying close enough to the business to ensure strong execution day-to-day. You’ll be the senior leader responsible for aligning people, priorities, and performance, with clear ownership of results.Lead overall business strategy, execution, and performance
Drive revenue growth through customer expansion and new business development
Provide leadership and accountability for the commercial/sales function
Partner closely with technical and operational teams to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team and culture
Own financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability
Strengthen internal collaboration and cross-functional alignment
Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and business partners

Required Skills & Qualifications
Ideal Background We’re looking for a leader who combines strong commercial instincts with operational discipline and people-first leadership. The best fit will be someone who is comfortable being customer-facing, can lead teams with confidence, and knows how to drive measurable results without losing the people along the way. Qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred)
10+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in industrial distribution, industrial solutions, or related B2B environments
Background in industrial automation, fluid power, or engineered/value-add technical solutions strongly preferred
Proven ability to drive business growth and financial results
Experience leading teams across sales, operations, and customer-facing functions
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership communication skills
A leadership style that builds trust, accountability, and momentum
Compensation
$175,000–$225,000 base salary + bonus
