Social Media Community & Culture Lead

The Role

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just do social, but live it. Someone fluent in cultural nuance, with a sixth sense for when to speak, how to sound, and where the energy is shifting online. This role isn’t just about posting and replying - it’s about building communities, shaping conversation, and making brands feel alive across platforms.

You’ll work across a roster of lifestyle-forward brands - spanning drinks, art, hospitality, and design - and play a key role in ensuring each one shows up with purpose and personality. Your job is to hold the line on tone, spark connection, and stay plugged into what’s happening now (and what’s coming next).

What You’ll Do

• Be the voice of several brands on social - day-to-day engagement, DMs, comments, tags, stories, and more.

• Drive culture-forward community building: identify who’s already in our orbit and who should be.

• Respond with the perfect tone - never robotic, always thoughtful. You’ll know when to lean in, when to step back, and when to let the moment pass.

• Keep us sharp: flag relevant trends, UGC, influencers, and cultural moments worth joining (or avoiding).

• Partner with creative and strategy to inform content, guide tone, and ensure community insights feed back into what we make.

• Support weekend and holiday check-ins (lightweight, respectful of your time).

You Should Have

• 1+ years working in social media, community, or culture-related roles - agency or brand side.

• A deep understanding of brand tone and cultural nuance - you know how to write for different voices and communities.

• Experience with engagement and community growth - both reactive (DMs, comments) and proactive (outreach, UGC, collabs).

• Strong instincts: what to say, when to say it, and when to leave it alone.

• Strong writing skills. You get modern copywriting - short-form, clear, clever, never cringey.

• The ability to work across multiple brands, managing competing priorities with grace and calm.

• Proficiency with G-Suite, Microsoft Office, etc

• Basic photo and video editing skills

Bonus Points

• Experience working with influencers, creators, or brand ambassadors

• A background in art, music, fashion, food, nightlife, or other cultural spaces

• Familiarity with the bar and beverage world - from brand work to service industry roots, any firsthand experience helps

• Comfortable with on-the-fly photo and video capture for social, even if it’s just with an iPhone
