The Dog Daycare Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of dogs attending the daycare. Working within a medium-sized team, this role focuses on managing animal care and exercise routines, maintaining cleanliness, and monitoring for any temperament challenges that may arise. While client interaction is minimal, attentiveness and effective communication within the team are essential to provide a secure and engaging environment for all animals.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to dogs throughout the day
- Manage exercise schedules to promote physical activity and socialization
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all daycare areas
- Monitor animal behavior and intervene to address temperament challenges
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed and potential hazards are addressed promptly
- Collaborate effectively within a team of 6-10 attendants
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven skills in animal handling
- Strong communication abilities
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in animal care
