Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Finance Manager at our Newtown Square, PA location to lead a regional Revenue Recognition team and manage the general administration of the company’s finance and accounting functions.

Expectations and Tasks:

Support Revenue Recognition specialists in complex deals and ensure Customer Success support to maximize revenue and KPIs. Ensures compliance with revenue recognition standards in accordance with SAP internal revenue recognition policies and International Accounting standards. For accounting, this includes all activities performed to meet accounting and financial reporting requirements resulting from legal obligations or SAP internal global policies/processes/guidelines. For finance, this may include administering activities such as revenue accounting, commissions, order management, contracts, treasury management, or billing that may not be in a global Finance Shared Service organization's scope. Collaborate with key stakeholders and other finance departments to ensure alignment on revenue recognition issues and impact on CCB/RPO (e.g., to ensure revenue forecast accuracy). Influence new policies & processes to enforce simplification and agile operation. Work with internal and external auditors on revenue recognition items and SOX controls. Deliver regular training sessions on basic revenue recognition.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:

• Implement controls and procedures to agreements review to maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) compliance;

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure agreements are structured and accounted for in accordance with IFRS 15;

• Implement controls and procedures for quarterly and annual close of financial transactions, with focus on revenue accounts;

• IFRS, US GAAP, and other regulations, with focus on Revenue Recognition training content & programs;

• Collaborate with auditors and leadership to align on transactional risk evaluation, quarterly reviews, and annual audit procedures;

• Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup, and macros; and

• Manage a team of individual contributors.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary for this position is $212,576. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $212,576 - $242,300. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
