Pediatric Dentist Job in Pittsburgh

We are seeking a dedicated pediatric dentist to join our client's children's dental practice.

This is a very reputable, private office located approximately 45 to 50 minutes east of Pittsburgh. The office has a wonderful and busy patient base already established as their dentist is moving. They also have an amazing team to help the dentist.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental care and a passion for providing exceptional patient experiences. As a Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating oral health issues, performing various dental procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of care in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate oral health and develop treatment plans.
Perform a range of dental procedures, including preventive care, restorative treatments, and oral surgeries.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Document medical histories, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately in accordance with medical documentation standards.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to ensure efficient workflow within the dental office.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Experience

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental practices.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management and record keeping.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, and other prosthetics is advantageous.
Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable, showcasing skills in patient assessment and oral surgery.
