RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble more complex fenestration products, which includes both standard and custom folding glass walls, sliding glass doors, terrace doors, windows, and more
• Utilize high quality glazing techniques and help to teach newer associates proper glazing techniques
• Manufacture high quality panels in a safe manner, which meets or exceeds specific efficiency, productivity, and quality goals
• Visually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assembly
• Proactively communicate when your jobs are ahead or behind schedule
• Provide feedback, as needed, to help the team standardize details and assembly drawings
• Follow all necessary procedures for glass handling, including proper operation of the overhead crane when needed
• Handle and lift all material carefully, both manually and by overhead crane, to minimize scratches to material surrounding job carts
• Notify the Lead team member/Supervisor of any issues encountered (missing subcomponents, damaged material, etc.)
• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement within the department
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 Years of experience with carpentry, product assembly, construction, and/or related education (ex. trade school or technical courses)
• Experience reading shop drawings
• Ability to meet and maintain certification requirements to operate overhead cranes
• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
• Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to read a tape measure

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of related Window and/or Door Assembly experience and be capable of assembling various fenestration products consistently in accordance with quality standards and production metrics.
