The Role

As the Senior Staff Product Manager for AV capabilities, you will be the product leader responsible for shaping and executing the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for specific autonomy capabilities and the underlying autonomy platform that will be deployed in GM 's next generation AV products . In this role, you will work closely with Embodied AI, Systems Engineering, Consumer and platform partners to translate GM's product strategy into high-impact capability outcomes, ensuring delivery at scale, quality, and pace need to meet the product milestones. Success requires strong technical judgment, principled decision-making, and the ability to build alignment across engineering, infrastructure, and other cross functional teams. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, making tough tradeoffs, and translating business needs into engineering priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Own the product vision and roadmap forspecificAVCapabilitiesand the underlying autonomyplatformfor GM'snext generationautonomy products,balancing engineering constraints, business needs, andinternal platform dependencies.

  • Communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions clearly across a wide spectrum of audiences from internal customers to executives.

  • Synthesize technical and analytical insights into PRDs and requirements that provideengineers andpartners with a clear understanding of what to do and why.

  • Lead executives and key partners through sophisticated decisions to drive progress toward our strategic goals.

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Program management, Data Science, Commercial operations, Systems Engineering and Consumer Product to define goals and the roadmap needed to reach them.

  • Identifyand lead improvements to the team's innovation andapproachenabling us to scale our team andimpact.

  • Exemplify outstanding product development and management practices in everything you touch.

  • Define, track, and analyze key product metrics and performance data to measure success andidentifyimprovement areas.

  • Stay updated onnew technologyand competitive products to drive continuous improvement,anticipatethreats, andidentifyrisks

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 8+ years of product management or related industry experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineeringor related fields

  • Proven experience withtechnicalproduct management and leading the entire product lifecycle from concept to introduction.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.

  • Excellent presentation abilities to drive a concrete vision and rally the team.

  • Technicalproficiencyinproblem-solving with complex software solutions

  • Experience defining vision and strategy forrobotics or autonomysoftwareproducts

  • Exceptionalcommunication and leadership skills, withthe ability to drive stakeholder buy-in.

  • Proven oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technicalpartners

  • Comfortable with complex and ambiguous problems and situations, and adept atidentifyinga project'srisks

  • Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where creative solutions are the norm.

Hybrid/Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-

mile radius of Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, or Milford, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area.

The salary range for this role is $178,800 to $322,500. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
