Communications Specialist

Employment Type: Full-time (with the potential for remote days after initial training)

Job Summary:

This individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to communications, digital presence, and promotional materials for our Association. This role involves providing communications expertise to the Executive Director and Administrative Director.

Key Responsibilities:

· Acts as Zoom host for presentations, ensuring smooth virtual events.

· Support membership outreach efforts.

· Administer and manage the Association’s social media accounts.

· Design and write content for all publications.

· Reach out to potential sponsors for advertising opportunities.

· Manage digital communications and mass email distributions.

· Utilize WordPress to maintain and update the Association's website.

· Provide support to local chapters by assisting them in building websites through Wix.

· Assist with membership and benefits processing as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or expected to graduate within the current year.

· The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills and experience in both traditional and digital marketing methods.

· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

· Familiarity with Zoom and other virtual event platforms.

· Ability to maintain professionalism and handle confidential information with discretion.
