Posted Job Title Financial Administrative Coordinator (Department of Medical Ethics) Job Profile Title Financial Administrative Coordinator Summary Provide financial and administrative support to ensure efficient and timely daily operations. Coordinate, monitor and process all transactions related to the office's financial activities. Set up and maintain account and transaction files. Provide front-end support for office. The Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy (MEHP) is recruiting for a Financial Administrative Coordinator. This position will interact with a variety of people in providing support for purchasing, accounts payable, travel and expense management activities, executing journal entries in BEN Financials, processing ProCard requests and providing assistance as needed with weekly timesheet and payroll processing. The individual will work collaboratively with the Grants Management team on monthly grant reporting, expense reconciliation and in ensuring grant salary distributions are correct. The position will report directly to the Administrative and Financial Officer to ensure that department and university business policies and procedures are maintained and implemented appropriately. This position is a great opportunity to learn or expand on knowledge of a wide variety of financial systems, policies and procedures at Penn while working for a very supportive work team. The successful candidate will eventually serve as a training resource for new department personnel on relevant financial practices. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, comfortable in a “manage up” environment, have analytical and financial acumen and strong interpersonal and customer service skills.   • High School Grad/GE Degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Associate's degree is a plus. Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills are important. Experience & proficiency in University financial systems (Business Objects, BEN Financials) and in Microsoft Office applications are essential. Conscientiousness, attention to detail, and accuracy are also essential.
