Business Office Staff

Business Office Staff
Wyoming Seminary is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team player for a staff position in our Business Office. This role is mainly to assist with insurance requirements and provide general support for our office. Responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of our insurance renewals, policies and other insurance requirements. This role also includes support for accounts payable, payroll, HR functions, campus store and general business office functions such as filing, answering phones, and entering data.
Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Support:
- Assist with insurance renewals.
- Implement insurance requirements and ensure internal policies and procedures are being followed.
- Communicate with insurance carriers to resolve policy issues.
- Handle insurance claims on behalf of the School.
General Office & Administrative Support:
- Support of our accounts payable function, including entering data into our computer system, and coding & processing vendor invoices.
- Assist with our HR & payroll functions as needed.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls.
- General support of incoming/outgoing deliveries.
- Assist with basic bookkeeping, expense tracking.
- Support our campus store.
- Maintain a tidy and functional office environment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in insurance.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional phone etiquette.
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Supportive team player.
- Knowledge of insurance terminology and procedures is a strong asset.
