Registered Nurse - Bethesda Mission

Bethesda Mission is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to assist the Medical Clinic Manager and volunteer physicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role supports the clinic’s operations four days per week and is an essential part of providing holistic medical services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver care that is safe, effective, equitable, timely, and patient-centered.
• Facilitate case coordination, information sharing, and health education for patients.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community partners.
• Connect patients with primary care physicians to support wellness and autonomy.
• Collaborate with shelter staff to ensure continuity of care for Bethesda patients.
• Open and close the clinic, preparing and securing records, equipment, and supplies.
• Manage patient flow during clinic hours, assisting physicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
• Provide coverage on a rotating day/evening schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the clinic’s mission.

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license.
• At least two years of experience supporting and coordinating clinical care.
• Strong ability to manage stress inherent in medical clinic operations.
• Flexibility to provide coverage across varying schedules.
• Proven ability to maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with staff, volunteers, and patients.
