Brand Ambassador - United States and Canada (Remote)

Position Summary

This role is based in the field and focuses on science communication, marketing, and raising brand awareness of Proteintech to improve the company’s presence in the life science community at key US and Canadian research institutions.

This is an ideal opportunity for a PhD student or postdoc who wants to gain some industry experience in marketing and science communication.

Proteintech’s commercial marketing program provides aspiring PhD students and postdocs with marketing, science communication, and event planning experience. The role is approx. 15 hours a month and can be tailored according to the experience you would like to gain. Proteintech can provide letters of recommendation, a certification, and career guidance on completion of the program.

Activities included:

Working as Proteintech Brand Ambassador to:

• Raise brand awareness of Proteintech at your institution with flyers, word of mouth, social media and emails.
• Leverage personal or professional social media accounts to promote the company’s brand, webinars, and campaigns. Engage with target audiences and Proteintech’s posts to increase visibility and reach.
• Help organize events and/or virtual events within your institution.
• Support and promote specific Proteintech marketing campaigns.
• Facilitate communication between university labs and Proteintech, providing feedback, ideas and market data. Participate in monthly brand ambassador meetings
  

Ideal candidate

• Must be eligible to fill out W-9 or W8-BEN tax form.
• Interested in a career in science communication or marketing.
• Enthusiastic and outgoing, excellent at forming collaborations and networking.
• The candidate must be a current PhD student or postdoc in the life sciences or equivalent at a US/Canadian institution.
• Ideally involved in a relevant graduate life sciences society/club or a graduate student/postdoc organization.
• Ideally has a social media presence or actively growing their following and would be comfortable using their platform to promote the Proteintech brand, events, and campaigns. Engage with posts from Proteintech on social media platforms through interactions, comments, and sharing.
• Using antibodies regularly with knowledge of antibody applications or have networks that use antibodies.
• Good time management and organization.
