Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consumer Services Officer to join our community banking team at our office in Loysville, PA . This role involves delivering exceptional customer service and supporting our clients in achieving their financial goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of banking products, and a commitment to fostering positive customer relationships.
Example of Some Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the consumer lending process
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of bank products and services to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions such as credit cards, CDs, loans, and referrals to investment representatives
- Open new personal and business accounts, ensuring all documentation and procedures are correctly followed
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, and money orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise teller operations and support staff to ensure smooth branch functioning
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information, comply with all regulatory requirements (BSA/OFAC), and assist with daily branch operations
Core Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized banking education and training, preferred
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service and cash handling normally required (banking experience preferred)
- Proficiency in basic computer systems (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Management experience is a plus
- Ability to obtain NMLS licensing may be required
