We have a fabulous new position to join the PowerPay team due to company growth! This position is currently working a hybrid work schedule (2 days remote / 3 days in office).

As part of the FinOps team, the Staff Accountant will be hands on in providing accurate and reliable financial information for PowerPay. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Prepare and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare supporting documentation for audits
• Support daily finance operations
• Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and basic financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with QuickBooks is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management and communication skills
