Job Description
The Restaurant Line Cook plays a vital role in preparing and cooking American cuisine within a small kitchen team of 1-3 members. This entry-level position focuses on food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety standards. The line cook will work primarily with grill, fryer, salad prep station, oven, and stove equipment during 4-6 hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Plate dishes with attention to presentation and quality
- Maintain food safety and hygiene compliance at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment including grill, fryer, salad prep station, oven, and stove
- Collaborate effectively within a small kitchen team
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of food handling and safety protocols
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for consistent food quality and presentation
- Ability to work well in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant kitchen operations
