About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our esteemed legal team, specializing in commercial real estate, general business, and corporate law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of transactional matters and provide essential support to our attorneys and clients.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including due diligence, document preparation, and closing activities.
Conduct research on property titles, zoning regulations, and other relevant legal issues.
Prepare and file various real estate-related documents, such as deeds, mortgages, and lease agreements.
Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
Support attorneys in drafting and reviewing general business contracts, corporate governance documents, and transactional agreements.
Maintain organized electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm procedures.
Assist with corporate entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing expense reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
2-3 years of experience working as a paralegal, preferably in commercial real estate, general business, or corporate law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with real estate and corporate transactional processes is preferred.
