• Location: York, PA 17403 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: January 5, 2026 – End: April 6, 2026)
• Shift Options: 4x10-hour days (07:00 – 17:30) or 3x12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30)
• Shifts per week: 4 (10-hour days) or 3 (12-hour days)
• Call Requirements: 1-2 weekday calls/week (Mon-Thur); 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks (Fri 17:30 – Mon 07:00)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050-$2110
• Patient Population: Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: EPIC EMR
• Facility Size: 18 ORs, 593 beds, daily census 50-60

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Pennsylvania or compact state (no license hits)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Required: Neuro, trauma, orthopedic, and robotics OR experience
• Proven ability to function independently in Neurosurgery
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travel nurses not accepted
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Completion of pre-start modules (5-6 hours) required
• Tobacco-free and fragrance-free healthcare facility

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care for neurosurgery, trauma, orthopedic, and robotics cases
• Independently manage complex neurosurgical procedures in the operating room
• Administer blood products, manage surgical specimens, and uphold infection control standards
• Respond to codes and surgical emergencies in the OR
• Operate advanced OR equipment (electrosurgical units, fiber optic systems, etc.)
• Ensure proper patient positioning and compliance with universal protocols
• Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations as scheduled
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, rapid response)
• Care for a diverse patient population, including potential COVID-19 cases
