We are seeking a Pet Retail Sales Associate to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
Recommend products based on pet type, breed, age, and specific needs.
Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.
Operate the POS system, process transactions, and handle returns.
Promote sales, loyalty programs, and seasonal promotions.
Restock shelves, rotate inventory, and ensure accurate pricing.
Maintain store cleanliness, including aisles, displays, and restrooms.
Receive shipments, unpack merchandise, and organize stockroom.
Set up product displays and merchandising according to company standards.
Maintain a strong understanding of pet nutrition, supplies, toys, and wellness products.
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Comfort working around animals of all types.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 - 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings/weekends as needed.
