Inventory / Cost Accountant - Exton, PA Area

Our client, a growing organization local to Exton, PA, is seeking an Inventory / Cost Accountant to join their accounting team. This position will play a key role in managing inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting to support operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based environment and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory and cost accounting records
• Analyze product costs, variances, and inventory valuation
• Perform inventory reconciliations and support cycle counts and physical inventories
• Prepare journal entries related to inventory and cost of goods sold
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve cost controls and processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of inventory or cost accounting experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments a plus
• Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
