Multiple vacancies exist for School Psychologists to work within the Office of Student Services, Mental Health Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. These positions will primarily support the MCIU's School Age K-12 classrooms and Non Pub schools and programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid PA certification in School Psychology required.
- Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred. (NASP-approved programs preferred)
- Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
- Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by MCIU upon hire).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Completion of school-age evaluations for both public school and non-public schools.
- Consult with teachers to educate them on various disabilities and provide strategies on how to work with them in the classroom.
- Provide trainings for school personnel throughout Montgomery County.
Location:
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. One of the available positions is located at our new Southeast Youth Development Center at SCI Phoenix (1200 Mokychic Rd. Collegeville, PA 19426).
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)
Salary:
Master’s, Step 1: $63,582/year
Master's+30, Step 1: $70,570/year
Master's+60, Step 1: $75,504/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master’s Degree.
